Use the FIP to make things great

Hit Your Goals

The PbS Improvement Plan (IP) is the vehicle for your PbS data to continuously bring about meaningful change. It bridges the gap between understanding and actions to improve the conditions of confinement at a facility, beginning with identifying the specific outcome measure(s) you want to improve.

You have the ability to track your progress towards your outcome goals, and receive scores based on your performance.

Give your team clarity about where work stands

Improve Communication

Comment directly on an action step to clarify exactly what needs to be done. Email notifications help keep all team members in the loop with work on the action steps. Regular status updates ensure steps are on schedule and goals are met.

Recognizing Success

The PbS Barbara Allen-Hagen Award was established in 2007 to honor Barbara Allen-Hagen and her retirement from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). Her dedication to improving the quality of life in facilities for young offenders has helped drive PbS to its current success. The award is given annually to one correction, detention/assessment and community residential program that best exemplifies PbS’ commitment to treating all youths in custody as one of our own and used the PbS improvement model to achieve positive outcomes for youths, staff and families.
